Are We There Yet?

Are you traveling with your family this holiday season? Is the idea of spending hours in the car repeatedly answering "Are we there yet" and "How much longer" daunting?

We've got good news, Brain Quest cures the backseat blues!

As you pile the kids, the dog, the luggage and the maps into the family car this holiday season, make sure you pack a supply of Brain Quests to make the trip pleasant for everyone (whether they are in the front or back seats). It doesn't matter if your kids are toddlers or teenagers; there is a freshly updated Brain Quest with instructive questions and answers geared towards their age group (covering topics from science and math to Presidents and Black History). The special Brain Quest for the Car will turn on their brains and turn off their incessant "got you last" games.

Brain Quest for the Car includes two decks (one for each partner or team) with 1,100 questions and answers about America. Side one of each deck comprises State Cards, featuring questions and answers about all 50 states (and the District of Columbia). The second sides of the decks feature Alphabet/Number Cards, which include questions and answers about America. All of the questions fall into five categories: people, geography and nature, history, culture and customs and odds & ends. Brain Quest for the Car also contains a handy pencil and pad for keeping score as well as suggestions for other games to play in the car.

Fight Summer Slump!

Teachers agree: Brain Quest is the perfect out-of-school tool to help keep kids brains in gear. The cards help children to learn spelling, parts of speech, use of idioms and figurative language, arithmetic, word problems and geometry in a way that is fun and non-threatening. The revised edition also reflects the latest school standards, so parents can be assured that what their children learn at home will correspond with what they are learning at school. Every grade is reviewed by an award-winning teacher advisory panel!

--Money Magazine

How to Use Brain Quest at Home
· Brain Quest is terrific for those awkward transition times. Keep Brain Quest in your handbag to use with younger siblings who are waiting for their brothers and sisters. Or put a Brain Quest card deck in your child's backpack for bus rides or at lunch time.
· In a family with several children, encourage the older children to read Brain Quest questions to their younger siblings. This not only helps the younger children to learn, but is also reinforces previous learning for the older children. Older children also love to feel like the "teacher" to their siblings.
· Use Brain Quest as a conversation starter at breakfast or lunch. Children can take turns reading questions (the level of cards isn't important) and discussing the answer.
