Label drawings to build vocabulary. 

Labeling pictures is a concrete way to introduce and reinforce vocabulary. Next time your child is drawing pictures, challenge them to add as many details as they can to their art. Ask them to describe their artwork, and then encourage them to label items in the picture. If they draw themself at the pool, for example, encourage them to label their swimsuit, goggles, towels, pool toys, and more!
