Subtracting

Subtraction bowling.

Gather 10 toys, such as stuffed animals, figures, or building blocks, as well as pieces of paper or index cards. Count the toys with your child and then take away some of the toys. Ask your child how many they have left and work with them to write the subtraction equation on a piece of paper. This will help your child to practice modeling subtraction as well as help familiarize them with written subtraction sentences.
