Second Grade: Math
Money
Count the change.
To help your child practice counting money, have them count the change you receive after a purchase, the change you have in your pocket at the end of a day, or even the change in a piggy bank. Once they have successfully counted the change, challenge your child to think about the different ways they could make up that amount of money. For instance, if they said that it was 45 cents, ask them to say what other coins they could use to make that amount.
