¡Frío, frío! ¡Caliente, caliente!

First Grade Spanish Practice

Your child closes their eyes as you hide an object in the room. Then, ask them to open their eyes and ask ¿Dónde está…? (Where´s the…?) [Don-deh eh-stah?]. As your child moves around the room, you say “Caliente, caliente (hot, hot)” if they are close to the object or “Frío frio (cold, cold)” if they are far away.
